Many retired people who live where snow and ice are common like to spend winters in warmer climates. They do this not only for their comfort but also for safety, as falling on slippery walks can be quite dangerous for older folks.
Seashore Vacations offers a variety of properties at monthly rates during the winter. Ocean front properties are the most in demand, and usually have waiting lists, because repeat guests get first priority. If a repeat guest skips a winter, an ocean front property could become available to a new guest. Ocean view properties also fill up early, but there is plenty of availability in ocean oriented properties.
The monthly rates for rental properties are similar to the weekly rates during the busy season, as shown below.

Availability of certain types of properties may be limited.
Rentals require owner approval prior to confirmation (owners have first preference).
Rates shown include electricity up to $150 / month for 2 bedroom properties or $180/ month for 3 bedroom properties.
Calling cards are required for outgoing long distance telephone calls.
Monthly rates do not include free tennis except at Courtside, where limited tennis privileges are included. Some properties in Plantations have their own tennis courts for use by guests.
