Oceanfront condos are just that - oceanfront and facing the ocean.  No other structure separates you from your view of the surf.  Many complexes offer beachfront swimming pools so you can see the ocean from the condo or the pool.  Shorewood and Sea Crest also offer ocean view properties at slightly lower rates than direct oceanfront.

Oceanside condos are in oceanfront complexes but do not have a view of the water.  You may want an Oceanside condo so you don't have to cross the street on your way to the beach and can enjoy the benefits of an oceanfront complex at a non-oceanfront price.
