Seashore Vacations
Seashore Vacations has been
managing and renting properties on Hilton Head Island for more than 25 years. We
specialize in rentals on the south
end of the island because it is the
most popular with visitors. Also, we can
provide quicker and more personalized service to our guests by concentrating in
this area.
With properties are located in Forest Beach, Sea Pines Plantation, and Shipyard
Plantation, our inventory of condominiums and homes are on the ocean or near the
ocean. Those properties come in a wide range of prices depending on the location
and time of year. This site lists all the properties we have available and has
links to photographs of every vacation rental. In
most cases, floor plans and building layouts are included.
The first step in choosing a vacation rental property is to decide on your
budget. Generally, the closer to the beach, the higher the rental cost. Then
consider your primary reason for visiting Hilton Head Island. While many
visitors come for the wide pristine beach, if you're coming to play golf, you
may prefer accommodations within a plantation and close to the courses.
Sleeping arrangements and number of bedrooms is an important consideration. Many
properties have sleeper sofas, which are adequate for children but usually
marginal for adults. Give some thought to the bed setup. Typically, men won't
share a bed, so male golfers will want a property that provides separate beds
for each member of their group. On the other hand, if you are vacationing with
kids, they'll sleep anywhere.
Hilton Head is shaped like
a tennis sneaker. This map will help you locate the neighborhoods many
vacationers seek. The best beaches are along the sole of the shoe.
Forest Beach village
is popular for its friendly beaches, dining, shopping, and nightlife. This area
has a great selection of ocean oriented properties. For the
cost-conscious, the most economical properties are in the purple area of
Forest Beach. These are the near ocean vacation rentals.
Shipyard is a gated
community (plantation) popular with tennis players and golfers. It also has some
beachfront.
Sea Pines was the
first plantation established on Hilton Head Island. Besides its beach, this
plantation has two well-known marinas, golf courses, tennis courts, restaurants,
and shops. The marinas offer a variety of water sports to those staying within
and outside the plantation.
Next, lets clarify the terminology:
Oceanfront means there are no buildings between you and the beach.
It's as close to the beach as we are allowed to build.
Ocean view
means you can clearly see the ocean from your rental property.
Oceanside
means you don't need to cross a street to get to the beach, but won't see the
ocean from your unit.
Near Ocean
means just that. A further description will tell you how far it is from the
beach.
